Entropia Universe has one of the most complex in-game economies of any MMO. Players needed tools to track weapons, amplifiers, scopes and loot data — but existing community tools were outdated and hard to use.

The Brief
Entropia Universe is a unique MMO — it runs on a real-cash economy where in-game items have genuine market value. Players hunt, mine, craft and trade with real money on the line. The existing community tools were years out of date and built without any design consideration.
Project Delta started as a personal tool and grew into a full platform. The goal was a fast, accurate, beautifully designed tracker that serious players would actually want to use.
The Data Problem
Entropia's item database is enormous and constantly changing. Weapons have base damage, decay costs, markup values, amplifier compatibility, and scope attachment options — each variable affects the economics of a hunt session. Building a reliable data layer was the first challenge.
The solution was a custom JSON data pipeline that allows rapid updates as the game patches, combined with a Sanity CMS layer for community-contributed corrections and additions.
The Interface
The HUD-inspired UI was a deliberate choice — it should feel like an in-game overlay, not a generic web app. Recharts-powered analytics give hunters visual feedback on their session performance. The weapon comparison tool lets players model loadout costs before committing real money.
The chat log parser was the most technically complex feature — it reads Entropia's raw game logs and extracts hunt session data, damage statistics, and loot records in real time.
Status
Project Delta is in active development and live for the Entropia community. The database covers over 500 weapons, hundreds of amplifiers, and dozens of scope and sight combinations. Hunt session tracking is live and being used by regular players.
